Anchored to the ocean floor, a lonely sea kelp yearns to fly. His dream is realized, in this crisp story about the risks of change.

How do we break from routine? What is holding us back? “Fly Away” is an unexpected, animated adventure about a sea kelp that wants to fly. He is ultimately transformed in this crisp meditation on renewal, the food chain, and aquaculture. The handmade animation process combines stop-motion, drawings and collage. Featuring music by Marker Starling.
*Note: FLY AWAY is not a commercial or a promotional film for seaweed products. The film presents current aquaculture methods, and reflects the increasing popularity of seaweed products. Sustainable aquaculture is one solution to the food supply challenges facing a growing global population.
